The Organisation for the Harmonisation of Business Law in the Caribbean is a project created in 2007 to throw the basis or an actual regional integration of the countries and the territories of the Caribbean. The project is conducted by Association ACP Legal, chaired by Catherine Sargenti.
The Congress of 21 and 22 September 2015 will be held at the World Trade Center of Pointe-à-Pitre. It is organised by ACP Legal with the support of the Chamber of Commerce of the Islands of Guadeloupe.
The many speakers coming from various horizons will take the floor to present the work including topics on:
- The creation of an Ohadac Arbitration and Conciliation Centre;
- Ohadac Principles on International Trade Contracts;
- Arbitration and Conciliation;
- Model Law on Commercial Companies.
On 23 June 2015 a meeting took place at the head office of the UIHJ in Paris with Catherine Sargenti to discuss the basis of a collaboration between UIHJ and Ohadac. On this occasion, Catherine Sargenti invited the UIHJ to participate in the Congress of Pointe-à-Pitre. Françoise Andrieux, President of the UIHJ, will be presenting the Global Code of Enforcement.
