The theme of the conference was: " Modern problems of foreclosure on the debtors' property and the ways of their solution: national approaches in improving the efficiency of enforcement documents”.

More than 160 participants representing about twenty countries in Europe and Asia were represented at this important event. The UIHJ had been invited to present the global Code of Enforcement.

Françoise Andrieux, General Secretary of the UIHJ, detailed for the audience the work undertaken by the UIHJ and its Scientific Council for the implementation of the Global Code of Enforcement.

She noted that these works were led by the Scientific Council of the UIHJ composed of twelve Academics from different legal cultures and continents:
-  Nadhir Ben Ammou (Tunisia)
-  Robert Emerson (USA)
-  Frédérique Ferrand (France)
-  Natalie Fricero (France)
-  Burkhard Hess (Germany)
-  Anton Jongbloed (The Netherlands )
-  Aida Kemelmajer Carlucci (Argentina)
-  Ioan Les (Romania)
-  Jacqueline Lohoues Oble (Côte d'Ivoire)
-  Paula Meira lourenco (Portugal)
-  Piemonrat Vattanahattai (Thailand)
-  Vladimir Yarkov (Russian Federation)

The General Secretary of the UIHJ then presented the methodology for drafting the code: the written articles are backed with annexes including domestic legislation, international legislation, jurisprudence of international and domestic courts and doctrinal positions.

It is with great interest that the participants welcomed this first official presentation in the Russian Federation.
