Inaugural address of Marc Schmitz, President of the UIHJ, during the 23rd International Congress of Judicial Officers in Bangkok, on 4 May 2018

During our 23rd International Congress, that was held in Bangkok, we demonstrated successfully that the judicial officer is the professional who is an essential element of good governance. During this Congress, we learned that huge challenges are waiting for us while digitalization is conquering the world.

Creation of a Directory of African Judicial Officers

The UIHJ is pleased to announce the creation of an electronic directory of African Judicial Officers.

This directory with free access, intuitive and very easy to use allows litigants, entrepreneurs and all legal professionals, to immediately locate a judicial official in Africa from a country, the name of the judicial officer of justice or the locality concerned.

This directory is evolutionary. It will be completed and updated regularly.

5th Africa Europe Meetings of Judicial Officers in Brazzaville: Towards an African Enforcement Title

Nearly 60 countries present at the 10th International Conference on Enforcement of Judicial Acts and Acts of Authorized Bodies in Moscow

On 1 and 2 August, in Moscow, the 10th International Conference on Enforcement of Judicial Acts and Acts of Authorized Bodies themed as “Enforcement: Current State and Vectors for Development” was organized by the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia, in cooperation with UIHJ.

ELI annual meeting: it is all about digitization

As one of the founding members of the European Law Institute, also this year UIHJ participated in the annual meeting of ELI which was held from 4-6 September in Vienna. UIHJ was present with its president, Marc Schmitz, and secretary, Jos Uitdehaag.
