Moldova: First Anniversary of the New Enforcement Law
UIHJ was invited in Chisinau by the National Union of Enforcement Agents of Moldova to participate in an international conference under the title “ Judicial Officer– final actor of the process of justice”.
On 4 and 5 October 2012 this conference was organised in Chisinau. Marc Schmitz, member of the UIHJ Bureau and Jos Uitdehaag, first secretary of UIHJ, represented UIHJ.
The conference was opened by Oleg Efrim, Minister of Justice, Gheorghe Avornic, Dean of the Law Faculty and Alexandru Tănase, President of Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova. Among the participants and speakers there were representatives from Belgium, Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Lithuania, and Romania.
The conference, organised on the occasion of the first anniversary of the new law on enforcement, covered various discussions concerning the activities of enforcement agents such as challenging the acts of enforcement agents, control over enforcement agents, promoting voluntary execution through legal solutions and the determination of a fair fee system for enforcement agents.
