The World Code at the World Bank
On 29 April 2014, the President of the UIHJ, Leo Netten together with Natalie Fricero, Professor at law at the University of Nice (France), member of the Scientific Council of the UIHJ, and Françoise Andrieux, general secretary of the UIHJ, went to the World Bank in Washington DC to expose the work in progress on the Global Code of Enforcement.

They had an appointment with Hassane Cissé, Deputy General Counsel Knowledge and Research (Legal Vice Presidency), Mathew Glasser, Lead Urban Specialist (Legal Vice Presidency), Marco Nicoli, Senior Project Manager Global Forum on Law, Justice and Development, and Giuliana Dunham Irving, Senior Counsel and Special Assistant to the Senior Vice President and Group General Counsel, who had participated in the roundtable presentation of the Code to international institutions and organizations in Lomé (Togo) in September 2013.
For over one hour they answered questions from the representatives of the World Bank who had read with great interest the explanation documents as well as the articles of the Global Code of Enforcement. The UIHJ delegation presented the Global Code of Enforcement as a harmonization tool, a factor of good governance and an element of response to the financial crisis.
They expressed their wish to present this instrument during the next Global Week on Law, Justice and Development of the World Bank in Washington DC.
