The Justice Studies Center of the Americas (JSCA) is an American agency of the InterAmerican system created in 1999 by a resolution of the Organization of American States (OAS). 34 countries are members of this organization.

The JSCA has three main objectives:
-    To facilitate the training of justice sector personnel;
-    To facilitate the exchange of information and other forms of technical cooperation; and
-    To facilitate support for the reform and modernization of justice systems in the region.

The UIHJ is often sought by international organizations and institutions. Thus UIHJ was recently approached by the JSCA which currently conducts a study on the enforcement of legal decisions in Europe. This study will assist countries wishing to improve or reform their judicial system.

The representative of the JSCA, headquartered in Santiago (Chile), came into contact with the UIHJ and its 1st secretary, Mathieu Chardon. The interview, which took place on 21 September 2012, was very successful. Many information were exchanged on both sides. The UIHJ offered its assistance and cooperation in the work of the JSCA.
