Armenian interest in European developments
At the request of the Armenian Ministry of Justice two UIHJ experts (Bernard Menut, first vice president of UIHJ and Jos Uitdehaag, first secretary of UIHJ) organised a four-day training course for the staff of the Ministry of Justice (26- 29 March 2012).
Main purpose of the training was to supply Armenian authorities with information on enforcement, enabling them to make well-founded decisions on future development and (possible) reform of the Armenian enforcement system towards European standards.
The training course focused on the European standards and principles in enforcement. During four days the participants received a detailed overview of the various enforcement systems in Europe, jurisprudence of the European Court on Human Rights in enforcement related cases, the Recommendations of the Council of Europe and the CEPEJ Guidelines.
