Enable: A New European Project for the UIHJ and the European Judicial Officers in 2017

Since 2000, the UIHJ has participated in over 160 international projects. This new Enable project (Enabling dematerialized access to information and assets for judicial enforcement of claims in the European Union) aims to explore e-justice solutions for dematerialized exchanges and pragmatic conditions for secure access to and exchange of information for enforcement in the EU.

Specifically the projects aims to:
-    Make an inventory of procedures, systems, e-justice practices and solutions;
-    Assess the interoperability and compatibility of national systems;
-    Assess the electronic access to debtors' registration systems;
-    Identify bottlenecks and good practices;
-    Enable cross country exchange;
-    Propose alternative scenarios for coordinating existing systems to ensure compatible solutions;
-    Propose technical specifications and architecture of supporting systems;
-    Assess the impact and cost of these solutions.

The activities include:
-    Data collection and analysis;
-    Elaborate research tools;
-    Literature review and analysis of other EU projects findings;
-    8 national reports;
-    Validation of reports;
-    Exchange of best practices and formulation of scenarios: Best practices;
-    Roundtable on future scenarios;
-    Assessment of solutions' cost and impact;
-    Analysis of legislative, administrative and technical specifications of scenarios;
-    Dissemination and awareness: 8 awareness events;
-    European roundtable; website, newsletters, social media
