The Judicial officers and the legal world of Quebec have lost one of them who died from a long illness relating to cancer at the age of 72. Chairman and founder of the Paquette and Partners office created in 1973, he was President of the Chamber of the judicial officers of Quebec from 1989 to 1991. As a known humanist, he initiated humanitarian project from 1980 for health and hope of people with his then- partners including his daughter Michèle Paquette and our colleague André Mathieu who is the current vice-secretary of the UIHJ, all past partners of his office. Strong from their experience and inspired by their president, Jean-Marc Paquette then launched the Foundation that bears his name. It was recognized as a non profit organization since 1991. This foundation aims at helping people sick from cancer.
