International Conference in Bangkok organized by the Legal execution Department of Thailand
On 8 and 9 June 2017, the annual conference organized by the Legal Execution Department of the Ministry of Justice of Thailand in Bangkok was held on the theme of “Sharing experience towards best practices on enforcing contracts”
As is the case every year, the Legal Execution Department of the Ministry of Justice of Thailand, whose Director General is Ruenvadee Suwarnmongkol, organizes an annual international conference. The UIHJ was represented by Françoise Andrieux, president, and Marc Schmitz, 1st Vice-President.
June 8 coincided with the World Day of the Judicial Officer organized by the UIHJ. On this occasion, Françoise Andrieux presented this day in its history and methodology and then developed the theme of the year 2017: "Information of the citizen".
The president of the UIHJ then participated in the first round table "Enforcing contracts in Ease of doing business, what is measured and how to make reforms".
The following day Marc Schmitz gave a presentation of the UIHJ and its latest developments to the full ASEAN delegations (Burma, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, People's Republic of China, South Korea, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam).
This year's conference was again a great success. The theme chosen prompted many exchanges between the participants. This was an opportunity for the UIHJ to make numerous contacts with the ASEAN member countries and to give them an appointment next year in Bangkok for the 23rd International Congress of the UIHJ!
