Study Days of the Portuguese Enforcement Agents
Participation of the UIHJ in the Study Days of the Solicitadores of Enforcement in Estoril, Portugal, on 19 and 20 June 2015
The UIHJ was represented by its President, Françoise Andrieux. The opening ceremony was chaired by Paula Teixeira da Cruz, Minister of Justice of Portugal. Armando A. Oliveira, Chairman of the Council of the Specialised College of Enforcement Agents, Françoise Andrieux, and Jose Carlos Resende, President of the National Chamber of Portuguese Solicitadores also took the floor.
Françoise Andrieux had the opportunity to give to the Minister of Justice a copy of the Global Code of Enforcement.
President Resende specified that the 35 articles of the Global Code of Enforcement had already been translated into Portuguese.
During the two days that followed, work was divided into several workshops with topics such as:
- The role of enforcement in post-Troika economy;
- Sales in enforcement proceedings;
- Insolvency in enforcement proceedings;
- Project for the distribution of electronic files between enforcement agents;
- The challenges of the professional organisation: statutes and companies;
- Administrative enforcement;
- Bank attachment (in which Luis Ortega, Vice-President of the UIHJ and Françoise Andrieux took the floor).
The work ended with a series of recommendations including the implementation of the Global Code of Enforcement.
