Open Letter to Fausto de Santis
At the term of his second mandate as President of the CEPEJ, the UIHJ acknowledges the work accomplished by Fausto de Santis through the publication of an open letter.
Fausto de Santis, président de la CEPEJ (2007-2010)
Dear Sir,
At the term of your second mandate as President of the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice, we would like to take the opportunity to express here all the gratitude of the UIHJ for the work you have accomplished.
Under your presidency, during four intense years, we have indeed fully appreciated your vast competences, your immense courage and an indefectible determination that nothing could shatter.
We are very thankful for the excellent relations between our two organizations. Your openness and your ability to listen certainly contributed to favor an increasingly closer collaboration.
It is under your mandate that the UIHJ became, in 1997, a permanent observer member of the CEPEJ.
It is under your mandate that a fundamental and historical document for the future of our profession at world level was drawn: the CEPEJ Guide Lines on enforcement and enforcement agents.
You have represented with a natural authority the spirit of the CEPEJ, this huge laboratory towards which all projectors are focused on, while inspiring the respect of all.
In my name, in the name of the members of my board, and in the name of all the judicial officers members of the UIHJ, may I warmly congratulate you.
We will be very happy to meet you again soon at the CEPEJ.
Yours, sincerely,
Leo Netten
President
