The topic of the conference was the training of court clerks and Rechtspfleger, an opportunity to improve the functioning of courts in Europe. The UIHJ was represented by its Secretary General, Mathieu Chardon. The European Union of Rechtspfleger (EUR) also invited Georg Stawa, President of the European Commission for the efficiency of Justice of the Council of Europe (CEPEJ), and Heiko Wagner, Member of European Judicial Training team, Unit B2 at the Directorate General Justice of the European Commission.
Sixteen countries attended the conference and the General Assembly: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, as well as Japan, Morocco, South Korea and Tunisia.
The conference of 3 September 2015 was opened by Jean-Michel Beynel, Director of Judicial Services of the French Ministry of Justice, Michaël Janas, Director of the National School of Court Clerks, and Jean-Jacques Kuster, President of EUR.
The speakers presented the mission of the European Court Clerk and explained how training on European Law was provided. This sequence was followed by three workshops were the topics could be debated. Then a summary of the works was presented.
Heiko Wagner took the floor to present the programme of the European Union on European Judicial Training on court staff in which the UIHJ is associated. Georg Stawa presented the CEPEJ and closed the conference.
During the General assembly of EUR on 4 September 2015, Mathieu Chardon presented the UIHJ. He mentioned in particular the Global Code of Enforcement, which was officially unveiled in June 2015 during the 22nd International Congress of Judicial Officers in Madrid (Spain).
